Carnival returning to Huddersfield this summer

Summer is set to go with a swing in Huddersfield again this year, with the confirmation that the colourful Caribbean Carnival is to make its long-awaited return.

This event has been absent from the town over the past few years, as the Covid-19 pandemic forced it online. Last year did see a special one-off party called ‘Vibe Alive’ held to celebrate the culture of the Caribbean. Now, the full carnival will be making its return. The organisers of it have confirmed that the necessary financing is in place, courtesy of Kirklees Council.

They are still hoping to land further National Lottery money though, which they would use to put together a street parade. People taking part in local events such as carnivals often look to banner printing services to provide them with brightly coloured Banners that have appropriate themes.

This annual carnival is organised by Huddersfield African Caribbean Cultural Trust (HACCT). According to Yorkshire Live, it issued an official statement saying:
“The event will be filled with the sounds, tastes and vibes of Caribbean Carnival which we all know and love. We can confirm that this will take place in Greenhead Park from 12pm.”

The statement also says that the trust understands what a beloved part of the summer the carnival has become.

It will be taking place on Saturday 8th July.
