Three blocks of flats to be built near Edgware

Three huge blocks of flats are set to be constructed at a location not far from Edgware, with the confirmation that the developer behind the project has been given permission.

One of the blocks Parkside Investments intends to build will be 24 storeys in height, which will make it Barnet’s second tallest structure once completed. The developer was given the go-ahead for this project by the local council during a strategic planning committee meeting this month. The chosen site for the scheme is currently occupied by a Crown Honda car dealer.

The planned blocks of flats will be called The Rockery and will provide homes for 470 people. The three buildings that make up the development will be 24, 23 and 20 storeys in height, and the developer has committed to ensuring that 35% of the flats are affordable housing.

Brochure printing supplied by outlets in the Edgware area can be helpful to housing developers when they want to show off new homes to potential occupiers.

This particular development will also include other amenities, such as storage spaces, shops, a café and an area for use by members of the community.

It has been designed by Studio Egret West, and Christophe Egret told the planning committee that it would help the area bounce back from the pandemic.
