These blocks will range from seven- to sixteen-storey structures, with the developer behind them being St George. The chosen location is Beaufort Park, which is on Aerodrome Road in Colindale, just a few miles from Edgware. In total, the finished development will provide 343 homes for people living in the area.
St George has committed to making 35% of the flats affordable housing and will also be providing 267 spaces for parking cars and areas for commercial and retail use. Brochure printing provided by shops in the Edgware area is sometimes used by developers, allowing them to show off completed schemes like this.
This is the second version of the proposals produced by St George, with the earlier one having featured tower blocks of up 21 storeys and a total of 393 flats. Speaking at the council meeting where the project was approved, Ed Noble from St George said:
“The proposals will deliver an additional 106 homes, an increase in the proportion of affordable housing, and an additional £3.4m towards local infrastructure.”
There has not yet been an announcement made about when work on the scheme will start.
