The company will undertake the construction of this development, which is expected to cost £6 million, for Barnet Homes. It will involve putting an additional storey on five blocks of flats located at Burnt Oak Broadway, Edgware, creating a further 18 flats in the process. These new properties will all come under the London Affordable Rent scheme and will be council-owned.
They will also be a mix of sizes, with three due to be two-bedroom flats suitable for four occupants, eight having two bedrooms suitable for three people and the remaining seven having one bedroom and being suitable for occupation by two people.
Graphic design provided by local outlets can help housing developers create drawings showing what their latest planned developments will look like when completed.
Dave Rooney from United Living Property Services told Built Environment Networking that the company was pleased to win the contract, adding:
“By creating new flats vertically, we can provide new affordable homes within the existing building footprint, which will help meet the area’s housing needs innovatively.”
The development will also feature new transport options, landscaped green spaces and areas for community use. No date has been announced yet for work to start.
