A new headteacher has been appointed for a primary school located close to Edgware, after the current headteacher, who has held this role for over a decade, opted to retire earlier in the year.
Miriam Kaye has worked at Sacks Morasha Primary School, which is also in the local area, as its deputy head for a number of years. Now she will be moving to Mathilda Marks-Kennedy Primary to be its new headteacher, where she will be taking over from Jillian Dunstan, who has held the position for 11 years.
At a meeting to announce the decision, the chairman and vice chairman of the governors board, Stuart Appleman and Aaron Livingston, stated to parents that her commitment to retaining the warm and nurturing environment at the school, as well as her passion and years of experience, made her the ideal choice for the job.
Kaye will not be starting her new job at the school right away, as she is due to take over as the headteacher from September. This means that her arrival will coincide with the beginning of the jubilee celebrations at the school. Schools often use local Print shops to provide them with printed teaching materials.
