A large development that would include more than 1,000 homes could be set for construction at a site not far from Edgware, if the local council agrees to the Plans.
This project would see Great North Leisure Park in Finchley undergo comprehensive redevelopment. At the heart of the Plans would be the building of over 1,500 homes at the site, but there would be more to it than just housing. The developer behind the project wants to construct a total of 20 new buildings, with one of them intended to house a leisure centre.
The buildings constructed at the site would be of varying heights, with the tallest planned to be a 25-storey block. There are a number of buildings currently located within the park – including restaurants, a bowling alley and a cinema. These would all be knocked down if the Plans are approved.
