A series of events aimed at encouraging local people to think more about the health consequences of their lifestyles is set to launch in Edgware’s Broadwalk Centre.
This shopping facility, which is located on Station Road, will be offering numerous activities during the rest of 2015, tying in with the new health campaign focused on cancer prevention that it has started.
The centre has joined forces with a number of partners to deliver this programme of events, including Greenwich Leisure Ltd Barnet, a sporting organisation; Alive and Kicking, which provides services related to children’s lifestyles; Barnet Public Health Service; and Silver Star Diabetes.
This latter organisation is a national charity dedicated to increasing awareness of the symptoms and causes of diabetes, and ensures that the centre has a mixture of local and UK-wide partners on board for its programme.
In a further boost to the Plans, the programme is set to run at the same time as National Healthy Eating Week. To capitalise on this, free healthy lunches are to be made available for people from the car park outside Sainsbury’s, on the 6th June, from 11am to 3pm.
As with other campaigns of this kind, those organising these events will know they can use banner printing in Edgware if they want to ensure residents are aware of them.
Nurses will be present at all events to address any health queries.Get a Free Quote for Plans
