Later this month, the Broadwalk Shopping Centre in Edgware is set to play host to the Scalextric challenge, as part of the annual Father’s Day festivities, and it is open to all parents and children.
It will see the centre dominated by a huge Scalextric track, which is being laid especially for the purposes of this event. The most up-to-date techniques for production will be used to ensure that problems such as the breakdown of the track or a loss of power do not occur.
The Broadwalk Centre’s manager, Angela Brooks, told a reporter from Times Series:
“It’s a common thought that the majority of men don’t really enjoy shopping so I hope that this free event means they can come along and spend some time with the family.”
She went on to add that Scalextric had remained enormously popular since its original launch, so everyone connected with the centre was hoping it would prove appealing for all the family.
There will also be a competition to complete the highest number of laps within an allotted time and events like this, which will take place this Sunday, June 19 , frequently use leaflet printers to help promote them.
