Those working at the Goddard Vet Group, located on Whitchurch Lane in Edgware, have started a month of frantic batter beating ahead of the MacMillan Coffee Morning they are to host during September.
This is aimed at generating cash for that organisation and will enable those who attend it to have a chat with the employees and enjoy the delicious baked treats that they have prepared. The event is due to last for two hours, from noon until 2pm.
Cat Disley, who is the animal nursing assistant, told Times Series that she had direct experience of the care offered by the nurses from MacMillan, as her younger brother was currently recovering from cancer:
“They were on hand at any time of the day or night and provided great support to us at a very difficult time. We’re all practising our baking and really looking forward to welcoming our guests on the big day.”
The fundraising coffee morning is due to take place on Friday 25th September and local events of this kind sometimes make use of places in Edgware that offer flyer printing, to help publicise them.
