Edgware housing development to get underway

A major development in Edgware is set to get underway this spring, as Plans to transform a former retail park into affordable housing comes to fruition.

A housing association based in Wembley, Network Homes, is behind the project and it will be collaborating with building firm PDR Construction on the creation of the homes. The chosen site is at Station Road, in Edgware, and a total of 122 affordable flats are set to be built there through this scheme.

The finished project will be called Premier Place and will be made up of four different housing blocks that range in height from four storeys to 17. Some of the flats will be made available on a shared ownership basis, while others will be affordable rentals.

Once it is completed, the development is also set to offer car parking for 76 vehicles, with work due to begin this spring and set be finished by September 2020. Speaking to Times Series, PDR Construction managing director, Paul Dransfield, said:
“PDR have worked with Network Homes for over a year to secure an agreement for this landmark project in the centre of Edgware. The 122 new affordable homes represent our continued progress with housing providers in Greater London to help deliver affordable homes.”
