A talented young footballer from Edgware has landed a chance that children throughout the world dream about, signing his first contract with professional club Stevenage FC.
Ronnie Brennan, aged eight, will now be in with an opportunity of developing his skills with the help of the coaching facilities available at the League Two football team.
The gifted youngster has already been connected with Premiership giants Chelsea, where he has spent the previous couple of years training, and his nascent abilities have attracted the attentions of other top flight sides.
Watford and Tottenham Hotspur had both expressed an interest in offering him a contract, but Brennan and his family decided that Stevenage offered him the best possibilities for development over the coming year.
Stevenage first became aware of his potential after he played against them for Chelsea youngsters, and they were impressed enough to move swiftly with the offer of a one-year contract.
