Edgware brothers take over second post office

Two brothers from Edgware who are in charge of a post office within the area have now taken over a second one in Henley, but have confirmed that they will continue to manage both of them.

Vinit Patel, aged 42, and his 39-year-old brother Sachin have been running the Edgware post office very successfully for four years now. They will go on doing so but will also now be responsible for one on Reading Road, Henley, having bought it from the previous owner this month. They were born in Gujarat, India, but have been living in London for a number of years.

Speaking to the Henley Standard about their decision to branch out, Sachin stated that the whole thing had happened within the space of around 10 days and that they had been attracted by the area.

He said that they would retain existing features of the post office, like its retail section, before adding:

“We might also do things like flowers for Mother’s Day. It’s all in our head, so we’ll see how it goes. We might have a bit of a change of layout.”

Stationery printers in Edgware can be useful to local post offices, by providing them with any official Forms that they need.

Before taking over the Edgware post office, Mr Patel had a job in a coffee shop in London.
