The Broadwalk Centre will be the venue for the event, dedicated to arts and crafts, which has been named ‘Love Your World’. The decision by the centre to organise this event is the latest part of an ongoing campaign it is engaged in to increase awareness of environmental issues.
Those who attend the workshop will have an opportunity to design and produce a multi-coloured world of their own, as well as the chance to take a pledge to be more ‘green’ during the course of 2018.
Among the things they can pledge to do at this event, which takes place on 13th January, are replacing car journeys with cycling or walking, upcycling and recycling.
Angela Brooks, who manages the centre, told Times Series:
“Here at the Broadwalk, we aim to provide fun, free and informative events for local families and our ‘Love Your World’ event is set to do just that.”
