Coventry and Warwickshire's Chamber of Commerce is behind the Business is Good for Women group, which staged the event. The meeting attracted more than 40 female entrepreneurs from around the region, who spent the day listening to influential speakers and making new connections by exchanging digital Business Cards with the cream of the Midlands’ business world.

Speaking about the occasion, Judy Grove, the chairperson of the Women of the Year awards and marketing director of The Rigby Group, said:
"There is a tendency for women to underplay and undersell themselves. We have a natural modesty that holds us back and makes us hypercritical of what we do."
She went on to rally for change to this natural reaction to success, continuing:
"That has to change. We need to celebrate our achievements and promote our success stories – not just for ourselves but as role models to inspire others to succeed."
