Nature reserve proposed for beauty spot in Coventry

One of the most notable areas of natural beauty in Coventry could be turned into an official nature reserve if the council decides to embrace the proposal.

The people behind the idea want to create this reserve at Coundon Wedge. They have put together a petition on the internet and are calling on residents of Coventry to add their names.

So far, close to 250 residents have done this, and the petition is growing rapidly in popularity. If Coventry City Council decides to designate the area as a nature reserve, this will guarantee its long-term future.

When it comes to promoting local campaigns, Flyers can be useful, and Coventry has flyer printing shops that can supply them. They can help to reach people who do not spend as much time online.

One member of the council who is lending his support to the campaign is Jaswant Birdi. He stated recently at a meeting of the council that it is something that would be good both for people living in the area and the wildlife that inhabits Coundon Wedge.

According to the Coventry Telegraph, Birdi said at the meeting:
“In the vicinity of the Coundon Wedge environment, there exists an ancient Arden landscape. The beauty can be seen by walkers in the Wedge.”

He finished by urging the other council members to back the campaign.

The petition is online until mid-May.
