The Coventry Sprint Triathlon has become a popular summer fixture in the city and attracts lots of entrants each year. The 2026 event will consist of a swimming contest, a bicycle race, and a sprint. In the case of the first of those, the venue will be the Xcel Leisure Centre and it will be a 400m swim. The bike part will last for 20km and follow a route through the countryside, while the sprint will be 5km finishing up at the leisure centre.
This triathlon event is put together by Coventry Triathletes, and it is suitable for people of all abilities and fitness levels. Entrants range from those with years of experience at triathlons to people making their first attempt at one.

Coventry Triathletes chairman is Paul Dodson. Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph, he stated that:
