Second Kazakhstan campus planned for Coventry University

Coventry University Group has announced that it intends to launch another campus at a site in Kazakhstan, after its first one proved a success.

That first campus was opened two years ago and is based at Astana. It was the first ever campus for a British university within the capital of Kazakhstan and has really taken off. The campus is called Coventry University Kazakhstan and is looking to expand so that it can increase student numbers to 3,500. This success has led to the Plans for a second one in a different part of the country.

It will be located in Almaty, which is in the south of Kazakhstan. As with the first, it will be developed in collaboration with Primus Education LLP. The Higher Education and Science Minister for Kazakhstan is Sayasat Nurbek. He said that the first campus had brought global applications and boosted the country’s profile.

Educational establishments in Coventry sometimes make use of local Stationery printers. This is to ensure they have any printed materials needed for teaching purposes.

The Group CEO and vice-chancellor of Coventry University is Professor John Latham. Speaking to Machinery Market, he said:

“It was a pleasure to welcome the minister to our city centre campus and build upon the strong relationship that Coventry University already shares with the Kazakhstan government.”

A date for the opening has not yet been revealed at time of writing.
