Coventry mixed-use scheme to be redeveloped
A mixed-use scheme in Coventry is set to undergo a major redevelopment, with the news that it has been purchased by a property developer.
Earlsdon Park is a scheme that is home to a number of top business, leisure and hospitality outlets. Among them are Foundever GB, Premier Inn and the Albany Theatre. The park also contains a Coventry City Council building and several sizeable blocks of offices.
The park covers a total of 3.65 acres and is located on Butts Road. Now, it has been purchased by a developer called MCR Property Group. This new owner is planning to make numerous changes at the site. The first phase of its redevelopment plans will see a block of empty offices converted into what is being described as ‘flexible serviced workspaces’.
When companies move into spaces like this, they find that the city has other useful amenities. These include Coventry outlets that can provide business card printing.
Other changes that MCR Property Group plans to make at Earlsdon Park are to improve the sustainability of its buildings. Its commercial property director Martin Brown told the Coventry Telegraph that:
Early work on the redevelopment has already started.

“Coventry has all the right fundamentals, a skilled workforce, two thriving universities and excellent transport links. We see this as a cornerstone for our Midlands growth strategy and a platform for long-term regeneration.”
