Student homes to be built in Coventry

A new housing development for use by students is set to be constructed in Coventry, after the council gave the go-ahead to the project.

The developer that submitted the application is Sama Investment Group, which is based in Birmingham. The plan is to construct a scheme that will consist of a total of 130 flats for students, as well as other amenities. These will include the likes of a gymnasium, lounge areas and rooms for studying. The name chosen for the project is Charter House.

It is set to be built at Charterhouse Road, which is on the fringes of the city centre. The chosen piece of land is currently occupied by an industrial estate, but it will undergo a radical transformation now that the project has secured approval.

Brochure printing that is provided by shops in Coventry can help local property developers to show off their newest homes, once construction work on them is completed.

Talking to Construction Enquirer, the founder of Sama Investment Group, Bilal Ahmed, stated that:

“As a brownfield site close to Coventry University, this is a fantastic opportunity to deliver a high-quality student accommodation scheme which will add real value to the city.”

He added that the company was looking forward to moving ahead with the project.

A start date for building has not been revealed.
