The sporting facility is located at the campus of the University of Warwick. This is located close to the core of Coventry. Almost £50 million has been invested in the site. The public will be able to access the complex in a matter of months. Brochure printing from Coventry can be used to promote new amenities.
Coventry is preparing to be European City of Sport next year. Local politicians, private sector stakeholders and students have already enjoyed a close look at the sport and health hub. The hope is that the venture may boost sustainable growth and fitness.
Lisa Dodd-Mayne is the Director of Sport and Active Communities at the University of Warwick. She told the Coventry Telegraph:
“While the building is on campus and will be the main centre for student sport, the hub is very much open to members of the public and we want to see the community taking advantage of what will be some of the finest facilities in the region.”
The centre enables a wide range of activities. It includes a gym, a swimming pool, a climbing wall and a speed wall. The students who took the opportunity to view the hub could have chosen to be elsewhere as the semester has come to an end.
