Rock band announces intimate Coventry show

A rock band with a passionate following will be coming to Coventry later in the year, to perform what is being described as an intimate show.

The Darkness have a dedicated fan base all over the country, so this will be exciting news for many. The band arrived on the UK music scene two decades ago, with hit singles like ‘I Believe in a Thing Called Love’ and a top 10 debut album called ‘Permission to Land’. The members of the group are lead singer Justin Hawkins, his brother Dan, Rufus Tiger Taylor and Frankie Poullain.

They are set to release a new album during the early spring and this Coventry gig will be part of the promotion for it. The album has been given the name ‘Dreams on Toast’ and fans can expect to hear songs from it throughout the show. However, they will also perform many of their older hits.

HMV Empire will serve as the venue for their show and tickets are likely to be snapped up quickly. Poster printing from Coventry shops can be a useful advertising tool when it comes to upcoming music gigs.

This show is one of two small-scale ones that they will play, with the other being in Leeds. They have a full UK tour scheduled for later this year.

They will play Coventry on 16 May.
