Residential development to be built in Coventry

Coventry is set to get a new residential development that will provide hundreds of homes, after the council gave the final approval needed for the project.

The developer that submitted the Plans to Coventry City Council is Bellway Homes and the application is for a sizeable development. A total of 201 brand new homes will be constructed at the chosen site, which is close to Tamworth Road within the Keresley district. The site that has been selected for the project is made up of fields that come under the heading of the green belt.

Some concerns were raised by people who live in that area, mainly about increased pressure on local services and the effect of the building work on nature. However, the planning committee for the council ruled that the application met all of its guidelines.

Local housing developers sometimes make use of Print shops in Coventry that offer brochure printing when they need to show off their newest homes for sale or rent.

The council planning officers dealing with this particular application said that issues regarding fire and flooding, as well as the absence of homes for elderly people were the only ones that could put it at risk. They then pointed out that the developer was complying with existing policies.

No date for work on it to get underway has been announced yet.
