A new facility that offers a mix of standard hotel rooms and self-catering apartments could be built in the centre of Coventry, with the news that Plans have been sent to the council.
This kind of facility is known as an ‘aparthotel’, and the plans indicate that it would be based on Corporation Street in Coventry.
The developer behind them wants to convert a retail unit in that street that is currently lying empty. A change of use application has been submitted to Coventry City Council by Anjum Design Ltd.
The unit in question is at the corner of the street and is part of a four-storey building. The top floors are being used for housing, while the ground floor is for retail use. If the application is successful, this floor will be turned into a reception area. Meanwhile, the basement will be converted into 24 studio rooms, which feature their own kitchenettes.
Other amenities that would be created for people who stay at the aparthotel include a laundry room, gymnasium, pantry and storage spaces. Graphic Design Services from Coventry outlets can help developers produce images showing what their plans should look like.
A statement included with the application indicates that the aparthotel would be targeted at people staying in Coventry for holidays and work purposes.
A date for a decision has not yet been revealed.Get a Free Quote for Graphic Design Services Get a Free Quote for Plans
