A popular venue in Coventry is set to extend a warm welcome a renowned band who formed in the UK capital.
English rockers Sleeper will grace Coventry with their presence this spring as part of their 2022 tour. After forming in 1992, the band enjoyed eight tracks in the UK Singles Top 40 and three of their albums ranked in the Top 10 during the same decade.

Sleeper’s music was showcased in the movie Trainspotting, an iconic film in 90s popular culture. Although the group split up back in 1998, they later reformed in 2017 to record again. The band are named after the Woody Allen film Sleeper, with members enjoying the multiple meanings of the word, including the definition “An unexpected hit”. The band began after Louise Wener met Jon Stewart when they were studying political philosophy at Manchester University.
