Head PGA Professional Martin Sutliff has revealed that CGC has in excess of 700 ordinary members, so IIS could benefit from joining the club in terms of advertising and can promote its brand through brochure printers in Coventry.
CGC was founded back in 1887 and, since then, it has hosted several important tournaments. These have including competitions that enabled qualifying for the Open Championship. However, its management has decided to pursue a fresh business strategy.
Sutliff has said:
“We are delighted to welcome Inspire Insurance Services as our first corporate member. It is a fast-growing and dynamic company and it will be a strong partnership for us to forge.”
IIS is no stranger to sponsoring local sporting activity. It has backed Coventry Rugby Club for a period of four seasons.
Leigh Mackey, the managing director for IIS, has stressed the fact that business and golf go well together. He has said that the course at Coventry should facilitate the development of professional contacts.
Sutliff has suggested that corporate members of the club will be given the opportunity to hold golf days of their own. In addition, he has reassured ordinary members that their needs will remain a priority.
