English Rock coming to Coventry

A famous venue in Coventry will host a renowned rock group from England this spring.

Madchester rockers Inspiral Carpets will be playing live in Coventry as part of a nationwide tour of the UK. April will see the English band take to stage at the HMV Empire to play a selection of their greatest hits for local fans. Live music venues of all shapes and sizes, from clubs and coffee shops to stadiums and arenas, often use experienced flyer printing services to design and produce colourful advertisements that urge members of the public to attend shows.

Inspiral carpets formed in 1980 in the Manchester town of Oldham. The band has had many different line-ups throughout its tenure on the rock scene, but its most successful one featured Tom Hingley on vocals, Graham Lambert on guitar, Martyn Walsh playing bass, Clint Boon on keys and Craig Gill on the drums.

Distorted guitars, organs and psychedelic rock influences were all trademarks of the band and can be heard on their singles like “She Comes In the Fall”, “I Want You” and “This is How it Feels”.

In 2016, the following the death of their drummer, the Inspiral Carpets disbanded, but in October last year they announced they would be reforming to tour the UK in 2023.

Inspiral carpets will play HMV Empire based at 22 Hertford Street in Coventry on Friday, April 21.
