Coventry University expands rapidly

Coventry University witnessed a surge in student numbers last year.

Student numbers at Coventry University increased by almost 10% during 2016. The institution is expanding at a rate rivalled by few other British universities. It has several campuses and Brochures from Coventry are likely to be used to keep up the momentum.

Coventry University’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor John Latham, told the Coventry Telegraph:

“I’m proud we’ve become one of the most successful and attractive universities in the UK, without losing our special character and reputation for excellent teaching, preparing students for careers and offering international experiences across all of our courses.”

The growth of the university has been the main driver of demand for local student accommodation. Student applications are tipped to rise further in the years ahead. This trend is likely to be fuelled by significant investment in buildings and facilities.

Increasing student numbers are already having a positive influence on consumer spending in Coventry. Students are being attracted from all areas with the West Midlands and London in particular.

The city is about to benefit from a transformational scheme called the City Centre South project. This initiative will involve an investment of £300 million and should encourage leisure and retail.

Crosslane Group is looking to address the need for more student accommodation. The company intends to construct an appropriate block within easy reach of the core of the city.
