The university’s Faculty of Business and Law began teaching degrees in business about 50 years ago. Now graduates from Coventry University will do their bit to celebrate what has been achieved over the decades. Professor Heather McLaughlin, an academic dean at the university, told the Coventry Telegraph:
“We've come a long way since the 1960s and we want to bring all of this history and heritage together for all of our current students and alumni. A lot has changed in the past 50 years. Coventry campus has been transformed and the Business School is a far cry from the first class which gathered for lectures at the College of Technology.”
Personnel at the university are encouraging graduates from the early business courses to come forward. It is hoped that they will have old photographs and pleasant memories to share with the students of today. Some of the graduates from the past could be tempted to participate in the hosting of guest lectures.
The initial business degree course in Coventry was put on within Lanchester College of Technology. Coventry Business School was established in 1990 and took things forward. Nowadays, it attracts students from around the globe.Get a Free Quote for Corporate Gifts
