One of the most exciting rock bands of the 2000s will be coming to Coventry for a show later this year, as part of a tour of the UK that is intended to promote their new album.
The Libertines enjoyed huge success in the UK during a busy two-year period between 2002 and 2004. In that time, they released several hit singles and two albums ‘Up the Bracket’ and ‘The Libertines’, before the band went their separate ways at the end of 2004.
Following several one-off reunions, the band got back together permanently nine years ago, and will tour the country this year in support of the album ‘All Quiet on the Eastern Esplanade.’
One of the stops on that tour is set to be Coventry. Frontmen Pete Doherty and Carl Barat, along with the rest of the band, will play under the lights of the HMV Empire in the city for what is being described as an ‘intimate’ performance.
There is sure to be a lot of interest among the band’s many fans. Flyer printing from Print shops in Coventry can be a useful way of advertising local shows like this.
