A renowned rock group from Sheffield are set play a live concert at a major venue in Coventry.
Fans of the Arctic Monkeys from Coventry will be happy to hear that the Sheffield four-piece will soon be performing live in the city. As part of a nationwide tour, the group will be playing a gig at the Coventry Building Society Arena this May, with strong support from Swedish rockers The Hives.
The Arctic Monkey Logo Design was created to appear like an Amplitude Modulation (AM) waveform while simultaneously showcasing the band’s initials. Indie rock favourites, the group has played and toured together since back in 2002. They also have the claim to fame of being one of the first UK bands to achieve critical success via the internet.
Their 2006 single “I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor” was a breakthrough success and saw them earn three NME awards and a strong following. Their first album also took home the coveted prestigious Mercury Prize. Now, with five studio albums under their belt, they have a host of hits to entertain audiences with.
The Arctic Monkeys and the Hives will now play at the Coventry Building Society Arena located on Judds Lane in Coventry on Wednesday, May 31. The gig will start at 5 pm and end at 9 pm.
