"An Evening With Brian Blessed" is on an eight-date tour and is due to arrive in Coventry in a few weeks' time.
The author, thespian and presenter is well-known for his many film and television roles, and his distinctive voice. He is also a noted mountaineer and explorer, and in this one-man show combines his acting and storytelling experience.
There is plenty of material to be derived from a lengthy career that spans over 50 years. His screen appearances are diverse and range from Shakespearean plays to Flash Gordon, Z Cars and "Doctor Who. His many theatre credits include Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cats.
He will be recounting climbing Mount Everest without a source of oxygen, daring adventures in South America (including surviving an air accident), and journeying to the North Pole. He is one of the oldest people to have walked to the Pole (at the age of almost 70) and has also undergone Russian cosmonaut training.
Tickets cost £27 with an age recommendation of 16 plus. The show runs for two hours and 20 minutes with a 20 minute interval. Flyer printing can be a useful way of publicising a local concert or event.
