Coventry to get new barbershop

A building in Coventry could be set to be turned into a brand new barbershop, with Plans for this having now been submitted to the local council for approval.

The building chosen for the conversion is at Broad Park Road and used to be occupied by a grocery store. It has been sitting empty for a considerable time though, which is something that the developer behind the project points out in its application. The proposal that has been sent to the council is for planning permission to change the use of the building.

According to the Coventry Telegraph, the developer’s proposal then goes on to state:

“We have done a questionnaire within the community to ask what’s needed and over 80% said barber’s as the nearest is Reilly Square.”

This proposal also points out that the changes needed to the interior of the building would be minimal. It would not require the fitting of any machinery to make it suitable for use as a barbershop.

Giveaway Promotional Products from shops in Coventry are often useful to new outlets when they first open and they need to advertise themselves to people within the city.

A date for the council to decide whether it will green light the proposals or not has not been revealed. It is likely to be at some point during 2025 though.
