Coventry in science shop window

The XMaS Science Gala will take place at the University of Warwick, near Coventry, early in February.

This event is a showcase designed to inspire young people into thinking about a career in science, as well as encouraging them to discover more about the latest exciting scientific developments. There are enormous opportunities opening up in this field which will become even greater in the future. The Gala is primarily family-orientated but also welcomes those of all ages with an interest in STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths and Medicine) subjects.

It is an opportunity to learn about a variety of careers, participate in a host of activities, listen to informative talks, and explore science through hands-on demonstrations. Those in attendance will be able to chat with academics and other university staff, as well as students to ask questions and obtain useful information. Ample time has also been set aside to visit the Planetarium and the university's science laboratories.

This event is free to attend and students, teachers, families and friends will all find something to spark their interest. There will be food and refreshments on offer. The organisers of events such as this may find that poster printing services can be used as an effective promotional tool.

The XMaS Science Gala is due to take between 5pm and 8:30pm on Wednesday 5th February at the University of Warwick’s Science Concourse in Coventry.
