Coventry DJ makes single with former Pussycat Doll

Coventry-born producer Paul Morrell has joined forces with vocalist Kimberly Watt who used to be a member of the successful girl group, The Pussycat Dolls.

Morrell must be hoping that his track ‘Givin’ It Up’ benefits from the work of a star who has helped shift millions of records in the past. His record company, Warner Bros Music, might permit him to promote his work locally by using Print companies in Coventry. Morrell told the Coventry Telegraph:

“We are hoping for a top forty spot in the UK Singles Chart with Givin It Up."

Wyatt was partly responsible for the sale of over 50 million records on a global basis during her seven year spell as part of the group, which is best remembered for the smash hit ‘Don’t Cha'. More recently, she has been maintaining her celebrity status by participating in the television programme Masterchef.

Apparently, Morrell has managed to evolve in part by being open to joint work. The start of his career was Coventry-based, with local nightspots such as The Planet, The Foundry, Ikon and Crazy Daisy’s proving to be of particular importance to him.

The DJ has plenty of experience of collaborating with a diversity of artists in the past. He has worked with Sonique, Lisa Maffia, and Mutya Buena. He has also advanced his career via cooperating with Gatecrasher, Ministry of Sound, and Cream.
