Coventry-based Inca Digital Printers showcases innovative technology

Inca Digital Printers, a manufacturer of printing equipment from Coventry, recently took part in its first trade show at Excel, where its team showcased brand new technology described by the firm’s head as “inkjet with light”.

CEO Paul Anson founded the company in 2000, and he was talking about the global ambitions of the Lumejet. At the same time, he revealed the second and third customers who had ordered the S200 printer – two printing companies based in the UK, both of which will have the new S200 machines installed next month.

It was said that the Lumejet`s output meant that the firm could easily reach into the photographic market, as there may not another machine like it that would be able to meet the expectations of photographers. The quality of the Lumejet and the samples it produced blew away the managing director of one of the companies that made a purchase, according to a report in PrintWeek.

Lumejet is set to expand into Northern Europe along with Germany, where it is thought Inca Digital Printers will be able to sell between 15 and 20 units, and then focus will move into North America during 2015.

Inca Digital Printers was the first manufacturer to produce a moving table flatbed scanner for the printing industry back in 2001, when it launched the Eagle 44.
