Country duo to come to Coventry

A celebrated events venue in Coventry is set to present a country music act which consists of twin sisters.

Fans of the country genre in Coventry will soon get a chance to see one of Britain’s most successful acts. Together, twin siblings Catherine and Lizzy Ward Thomas, known simply as “Ward Thomas” will appear on stage at the Warwick Arts Centre in November, playing stripped back versions of some of their most-loved tracks.

Recently, in 2019, Ward Thomas received the Jeff Walker Global Achievement Award from the Country Music Association, in recognition of their impact and success playing country music here in the UK. Associations and organisations presenting awards often look to experienced printing services to create branded trophies, plaques and certificates.

The upcoming show in Coventry is part of a national tour celebrating the band’s musical career, which kicked off in 2014 with their studio debut “From Where We Stand”. The album was recorded when the twins were still at school, and was followed by their sophomore release, “Cartwheels”, which was released in 2016. This went on to reach number one in the UK Album Chart, and since then, the duo have become pioneers in the UK Country and Americana scene.

Ward Thomas will now perform live at the Warwick Arts Centre on Tuesday 21st November. The venue is based in the University of Warwick in Coventry, and the gig will begin at 7.30pm, ending at 11.30pm.
