Plans have been submitted to regenerate the site of The Tin Angel live music venue in Coventry, which has sat empty since 2011. This regeneration would see the building being transformed into a coffee shop on the ground floor, and the floors above being converted to student accommodation. The Tin Angel was a mainstay of the local music scene for around ten years, with live bands playing most nights at the venue, which is located on the corner of Spon Street and Lower Holyhead Road.
Keith Draper is the chairperson of the local traders’ association. He recently spoke about the Plans to the Coventry Telegraph, saying:
“We applaud anyone wishing to open a coffee shop in the street that will support the day time traders and bring more people into the street. I also have no problem with the student accommodation plan for the building.”
The new business looks set to be good news for the local economy as it attracts visitors to the area. There could also be a knock-on effect in terms of the new coffee shop generating work for local tradesmen, and it could even create new jobs for local people. Printing companies in Coventry are used by many local establishments to produce leaflets, Flyers and Menus.
The Plans are being reviewed now and a decision will be made in December.Get a Free Quote for Flyers Get a Free Quote for Menus Get a Free Quote for Plans
