A performance of “The Snowman”, conducted by Carrot Productions, will make an appearance in Coventry this year just prior to Christmas.
The screening of the seasonal favourite features performers from the popular animated film accompanied by a live orchestra composed of a number of the UK's leading musicians, specially selected from the BBC Philharmonic and The Halle orchestras, amongst others.
It includes the well-loved song "Walking in the Air" sung by a chorister, chosen by means of an audition. There will also be an introduction highlighting the orchestra, a Christmas medley and the much-anticipated appearance of the iconic Snowman, together with lots of other festive surprises.
The occasion also offers a chance to see the 2017 animated film of the successful children's book by David Litchfield, "The Bear and the Piano". A tale of adventure and friendship, it features music from Daniel Whibley and narration from Joanna Lumley.
This enchanting show should appeal to families and audiences of all ages, and for many has come to mark the start of their Christmas.
Ticket prices begin at £13, and due to COVID-19 restrictions limiting capacity, it is advisable to book early. Brochure printing can add greatly to the quality of the presentation of an event such as this.
There will be three performances of The Snowman, between 2.30pm and 3.30pm; 4.45pm and 5.45pm; and 7pm and 8pm on Saturday 19th December at Coventry Cathedral, Coventry.
