The people of Coventry have good reason to tune in to watch the BBC One show The Voice, as there are three contestants on the show who hail from the city. Lee Glasson won what has been described as the ‘battle of Coventry’ when he came out on top last Saturday night against Jimmy Weston; both singers were on Kylie Minogue’s team on the show.
Glasson will now move on to sing it out with other contestants on the show, and hopes to make it into the final three on the team, along with ensuring he gets a spit in the live shows.
Weston’s shot at the title of The Voice 2014 ended and he will be making his way back home to Coventry.
Meanwhile, Melissa Gill, who is on team Tom Jones on the Saturday night talent show, is also from Coventry. Gill works at a Co-op in the town on weekends, but she won a place in the competition and on the team of Tom Jones when she sang ‘Love is a Losing Game’ by Amy Winehouse.
If the two from Coventry manage to make it to the live shows and final, banner printing companies in Coventry may find themselves kept very busy producing promotional Banners for supporters to hang around their homes and the town.Get a Free Quote for Banners
