Clapham venue to reopen after refurbishment
An iconic and much-loved venue in Clapham is set to reopen at the start of next month, having undergone a comprehensive programme of refurbishment.
Four Thieves is a fixture on the local scene, but will be re-launching under the name The Thieves. When it does, regulars can expect to see a massive transformation of the venue. The money for it was provided by The Laine Pub Company and the idea is to bring it up to date. Instead of just being a pub, the venue will now be a centre for social events and various forms of entertainment.
Its owners have announced that they are joining forces with a couple of entertainment providers in the shape of Twisted Time Machine and House of Dinosaur. Both of those companies specialise in immersive and interactive events.
However, it is not just what will be on offer that has changed. The layout of the pub has also been altered, with the bar now situated near the front. There will be a raised platform too, for live music nights.
Promotional products created by print shops in Clapham can help the owners of local venues when they are reopening after an absence.
Laine Group managing director Russ Danks said that the re-launch of the pub would redefine the whole concept of an entertainment venue.
It is scheduled to open its doors on 1 November.
