Clapham Common chosen for charity walk

A walking event designed to raise money for charity is coming to south London next month, and Clapham Common has been chosen as the venue.

MoonWalk London is one of the most popular charity events in the UK. It is put together each year by Walk the Walk, an organisation for breast cancer awareness and fundraising. Every year, thousands of people put on their walking boots and take part in it, so they can raise much-needed cash for research into all Forms of cancer. Now, it has been confirmed that the 2026 MoonWalk London will be held on Clapham Common.

The event gets its name from the fact that it takes place at night. People who are entering it are encouraged to wear specially decorated T-Shirts with designs on them. Most participants wear pink, and many landmarks are lit in that colour for the night.

When it comes to the promotion of charity fundraisers in the district, Flyers can be effective. Clapham has shops that offer flyer printing as one of their services.

MoonWalk London is suitable for people at all fitness levels, with a choice of three distances. People can enter the 10K event, the 15.1-mile Half Moon Marathon or the Full Moon Marathon, which lasts for a total of 26.2 miles.

This event will be taking place on 16 May.
