Clapham Common to host arts festival

Clapham Common will be the venue for an arts festival later this year, after the council granted planning approval.

Colourscape Festival is a unique event that combines music with other Forms of live performance amid a multi-coloured setting. The organisers will be setting up a massive inflatable landscape consisting of 70 chambers of different colours. These will be connected and each will host a separate live show. Visitors will be able to walk from one to another, taking in the various sights and sounds.

The festival is the creation of Eye Music Trust, and this will be the 37th year in a row that it has been held. Lambeth Council approved the application with a unanimous vote, reflecting its status as a popular annual event.

If the organisers of local festivals want to let people know when they are taking place, Posters can be a good way to do so. Clapham has poster printing outlets that can supply as many as needed.

Colourscape Festival features educational and arts workshops alongside live music. The inflatable backdrop offers a setting of ever-changing colours, producing an immersive atmosphere.

The council opted to approve the application on the grounds that it gives residents a chance to experience different forms of creativity in a way that is fun and accessible.

This festival will get underway on 12 September and is scheduled to run until 20 September.
