Clapham to welcome funnyman
The comedy writer and impressionist Josh Berry has confirmed that he will be coming to Clapham to perform a live gig next summer, as part of his tour of the UK.
Berry is currently touring the country in support of his new book, which is called ‘Staggering Hubris’ and has hit the top of the bestseller lists. He will be appearing at the Clapham Grand as the final stop on this tour and his popularity suggests that tickets for the show will be highly sought after.
Local venues often look to shops in Clapham that can provide colourful and dynamic poster printing so that they are able to promote their upcoming shows effectively.
Berry made his name with a character called Rafe Hubris, who is a parody of the special advisors – or SPADS as they are known – that work for politicians. He is a regular on BBC Radio 4 and also has a successful online podcast called ‘Josh Berry’s Fake News’ that sees him perform satirical impressions of public figures.
His new show consists of two sections, with the first being called ‘Who Does He Think He Is?’ and being made up largely of stand-up comedy. The second is dedicated to the Rafe Hubris character and sees him take a sharp, comedic look at the Covid-19 crisis.
Berry will be at the Clapham Grand on July 7, 2022.
