Clapham regeneration scheme moves forward
A project to build a new housing development that will regenerate an area of Clapham is moving forward, with the news that two companies are teaming up to complete it.
Countryside and MTVH will be responsible for building this ambitious development, which is set to consist of a minimum of 2,482 homes spread across various areas of Clapham Park. The homes built will be a mixture of flats with two bedrooms and houses suitable for occupation by families, all of which will also be fitted with solar and green roofing.
There are to be numerous other amenities created as part of the regeneration, including spaces for commercial use, two new parks, a market square, and a centre for use by the local community.
In addition, the developers will provide areas for parking bikes and charge points for electric cars as measures to help with the environmental impact. Brochure printing from sources in Clapham can help developers show what plans like these will look like before completion.
Speaking to PBC Today, the MTVH chief executive Geeta Nanda OBE said that the company was happy to be teaming up with Countryside on the project, adding:
The initial 50 houses are expected to be ready by 2023.
