Among those helping to get everything set up on the morning of the challenge was a man whose mother is a patient at the hospice, and this served as a reminder of the work undertaken at Ashgate and the importance of raising money.
Bryan Steel, the medal-winning Olympic cyclist, was one of those who entered. Steel chatted to other riders throughout the sponsored 50-mile and 25-mile Challenge races and then competed in the 50-mile ride to the Old Brampton hospice and back.
Those organising fundraising events in the town always know that there are printing services in Chesterfield that can provide Posters and leaflets to help promote them.
Furthermore, other providers of local services also played a key role in ensuring the event was a success, including Gilder Group, who supplied the back-up event vehicles, the rider marshals, and volunteer foot marshals.
Talking to a reporter from the Derbyshire Times, Dean Poole from JE James said that:
“Helping the hospice, the patients and their families is what this event was all about and this was clearly a driving force for all those who volunteered, took part and completed the Flagg Challenge.”
Alison Ward-Foster from Ashgate stated that they thanked everyone who took part.Get a Free Quote for Posters
