Chesterfield run attracts record interest levels

A popular sporting event is set to take place again in Chesterfield next spring, and it has already attracted record levels of interest among local people.

The Redbrik Foundation Chesterfield 10K is an event that is a fixture on the town’s calendar. Next year will mark the fifth time it has been held, which is a testament to how beloved it has become – and the 2026 event looks set to be the biggest and best yet. The organisers recently launched their early-bird sign-up programme and the number of people who took advantage of it smashed the previous record.

A total of 714 residents signed up during this phase, which is over 25% higher than the figure for 2025. It suggests that the number of people that will eventually take part in the run will be higher too.

When the organisers of local events like this are looking to advertise them, they can do a lot worse than using themed Promotional Products. These can be created by Print shops in Chesterfield and then given away to people.

The lead organiser is John Timms. Speaking to the Derbyshire Times, he said:
“General sale entries are available now, and there is still plenty of time for anyone wanting to take on the challenge to sign up and get training ready for the big day in May."

It will take place on 17 May.
