A singing schoolteacher who has taken TikTok by storm will be coming to Chesterfield this autumn with a nostalgic sing-along show.
James B Partridge became an inadvertent star on the social media platform thanks to videos of him singing to pupils at his school. These went viral and have led to an unlikely sideline career, including a performance at Glastonbury and on various radio shows. Now, he will be taking more time off from his job as a primary school teacher to hit the road with a brand new live show.
This has been given the name ‘The Primary School Bangers Tour’ and will see him lean into the nostalgic sounds that have brought him fame. He will be singing songs that many will remember from their school days, and he will be inviting audiences at the shows to join in.
One of those shows is set to be in Chesterfield. The Winding Wheel Theatre will serve as the venue for it.
