Chesterfield plans for new hot food takeaway

Chesterfield could be set to get another new eatery, if Plans for a takeaway selling hot food are approved by the council.

This takeaway would be located within an existing car wash business in the town. The man that owns and operates that business wants to situate it within a container on the site. The opening hours for the takeaway would be different to those of the car wash, ensuring that there is no clash between the twin operations. An application for planning consent has now been submitted to Chesterfield Borough Council.

The proposed site is in Tap Lane and it is occupied by Express Car Wash, owned by Mohammed Khurseed. He will need to get a change of use permission from the council, because the project would turn the site into a mixed use development.

The plan would also involve the installation of a container, which would be a prefabricated structure. According to the application, the proposed takeaway would mostly offer deliveries, so few customers would actually visit the site.

When new takeaways first open in Chesterfield, they sometimes make use of flyer printing outlets in the town. This is because Flyers are a good way to let people know about them.

The application for this takeaway points out that it would have very little effect on the existing site, or on the lives of those living nearby.
