Writer, actress, and comedian, Ruth Jones is due to appear in 'An Audience With Ruth Jones' at the Bath Festival towards the end of May. She will be primarily discussing 'Buy Your Side', her most recent novel.
Ruth is most famous for playing Nessa in BBC One's 'Gavin and Stacey', co-written with James Cordon. Its 2024 Christmas finale, was seen 21 million viewers and topped the ratings. She was also responsible for creating and starring in Sky One's 'Stella' and has made appearances in TV comedies such as 'Hattie', and 'Saxondale'.
Her latest novel is the story of Linda Standish, who is employed by a council-run Unclaimed Heirs Unit to investigate people who’ve died alone. Now after 39 years, and about to retire, she must locate the family of Levi Norman Jones, in the wake of his death on an isolated Scottish island. This becomes a journey of self-discovery.
Ruth debuted in the West End in Sister Act the Musical.in 2024 and also notably starred as Elena Ravenscroft in 'Run Away' on Netflix. Her previous novels, 'Us Three', 'Never Greener' and 'Love Untold' have all sold in their millions.
