The company behind this application is called Jocelin and it wants to move into an empty unit at Shires Yard. That unit was formerly occupied by Le Vignoble, a bar and wine merchants. Jocelin has submitted an application to change its use to Bath and North East Somerset Council and is now awaiting a response.
Shires Yard is one of the premier retail districts in the city. It lies in the middle of Broad Street and Milsom Street and boasts a variety of different outlets. In addition to independent retailers, it is also home to boutique shops, eateries and health and wellness spaces.
The application argues that this would make Jocelin a perfect fit. It would be an independent bakery that provides focaccia sandwiches, cream cakes, pastries and sourdough bread.
When new outlets first open locally, promotional Flyers can help them to get known. Bath has flyer printing outlets that can supply as many as required.
According to the Bath Echo, the application goes on to say:
“Alongside their food offering, Jocelin will offer coffees, teas and soft drinks and a small selection of alcoholic drinks including champagne, wine, local beer, and cider subject to the necessary licensing.”
There is no word yet on when a decision will be announced.
